FAQ
How long do these reusable food wraps last?
|
What happens if I accidentally heat Buzzcloth, or put it in the dishwasher by mistake?
Nothing much. It will just affect the durability of the cloth.
Do your wraps have a strong smell like some other beeswax wraps ?
Our wraps are very lightly scented, unlike a few of the others on the market. The scent disappears after a few washes.
Does the wax crack?
The combination of beeswax and plant oils prevents Buzzcloth from cracking even after much folding and washing.

Is Buzzcloth completely eco-friendly?

Is foil really that bad?
Aluminium is connected with all sorts of horrible health conditions, and even though it is recyclable, the manufacturing period has a huge carbon footprint. I dislike foil for those reasons and also because it usually breaks with every use so it can't be used more than once or twice. It is also really cheap to buy which I find disgusting, considering the negative impact it is having on the environment. If we all halved the amount of foil and plastic we used, we would halve the amount of trash going into landfill - what a difference this would make to the planet !
Does Buzzcloth stain?
Buzzcloth is surprisingly unsusceptible to staining but it may happen. It's nothing to worry about and gives the cloth a unique personality, just like its owner! To prevent staining, avoid contact with overly greasy or oily food (not good for you any way!) or if this is unavoidable, wash as soon as possible with warm water and mild soap.
Where do you get the beeswax from?

Where is Buzzcloth made?
Buzzcloth is made by loving hands in the gorgeous rolling hills of Devon, UK. See our 'about' page for more information about us.
Do you deliver internationally?
We like to encourage all our customers in Canada and the US to try to find a local supplier of beeswax food wraps. This is not because we don't value your business, it's because we really believe that shopping local is the best way to support real people, and it avoids unnecessary carbon miles - which is better for the earth. We feel great about supplying our products to the UK and Europe.
Why is there no logo on your wraps ?
We purposely decided to remove the logo from Buzzcloth food wraps as a strong statement that we all need to stop using plastic immediately and find an eco alternative. I don't mind what you use in place of plastic - as along as you find something. Make your own, or buy a beeswax foodwrap from another producer, or use something else entirely. The planet, and your children will be forever grateful!
Why are your food wraps wonky?
Buzzcloth is entirely made by hand, and this is evident in their wonkiness and size disparity! We would rather give you a perfectly imperfect shape of Buzzcloth rather than making it perfect, and having to throw away off-cuts.
