This is a testimonial from one of Buzzcloth's first customers. We normally edit testimonials slightly but this one gives some good ideas so we left it as is.
Andrea Link, Landscove, UK : First and foremost, and in stark contrast to cling film or foil, I love the natural feel and smell of Buzzcloth.
Using them is a pleasure, not least because I know they aren't leaching chemicals into mine and my family's food, or wasting resources- including my money.
And they are firm enough to protect food from damage when making school lunches.
They work beautifully for anything non-liquid. Sandwiches, cheese, nuts and seeds, carrot sticks, cake, to protect an apple from bruising in a school bag, wrapping tea bags whose box has broken, keeping safe the essential stash of chocolate in my handbag...
I love how they warm in my hands and then stay in the shape I've folded them. Wrapping a round pitta bread is especially pleasing, as the pretty flower- shape the buzz cloth makes feels like I've wrapped a present.
Covering left-overs in the fridge, they' mould perfectly to the shape of a bowl, and stay there, looking charmingly vintage. (Unlike all but the most expensive cling film, which often falls off unless you wrap the bowl completely, which feels like such a waste, and it's then a battle to break into again...).
I find them very easy to wash and leave to dry, and after several weeks, they show no sign of wearing out. My only constructive feedback is over what to store them in neatly, so they don't collect crumbs, etc. A pretty little basket perhaps?
Being me, I also enjoy the fact that they are a talking point! The children love showing them to friends, and proudly tell people how much better they are for the world than aluminium and cling film. It feels great for them to learn about this in a fun, daily way, and with a practical and easy solution.
