Happy new year and may 2015 be full of blessings !
For the first time this Christmas, our four children (ranging from 14 to 8) all participated in the spirit of giving. This substantially increased the amount of time we spent around the Christmas tree as we are quite a big family! The great thing was that, due to their limited budget, they had not much choice but to make/ up-cycle/ recycle - the result being a fabulous array of highly creative, very personalised gifts.
Included in the range was a lovely little jar containing chocolate drink powder, marshmallows, and mint sweets for a delicious Choc-Mint hot drink (you crush the mint sweets), a bag of coffee beans which were decanted into another jar with a personalised label saying ' Grandpa's Special Coffee Beans' and a delightful little wooden boat whittled by my youngest son.
I also loved the creative wrapping made by my daughter for a friend of hers. It's a lovely book, but the wrapping has made it much more special and memorable.
With a little imagination, it's amazing how much joy you can bring to someone without adding to our global landfill problem.
Of course, Buzzcloth would also have made a good present for Christmas! We gave them as presents to our teachers and much appreciated they were too! Just an idea...
With love, and see you soon
What's the Buzz, man?
This is the rather unconventional blog for Buzzcloth, the fabulous biodegradable and reusable alternative to foil and plastic in your kitchen and lunchbox.
